Dimitri

This summer, Dmitri will be the featured guest soloist for the openings of major festivals across Russia and Eastern Europe and will also present a recital of art songs in Munich. 

On July 3, the Siberian baritone takes the stage of the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Prinzregententheater with pianist Ivari Ilja, singing art songs by Taneyev, Medtner, Liszt, and Rachmaninov. Several of Dmitri's selections are available on the album In This Moonlit Night.

Just three days later on July 6, Dmitri inaugurates the Summer 2013 Universiade Kazan, performing in the event's opening ceremonies alongside Russian soprano Albina Shagimuratova. Dmitri and Albina reunite at the end of the summer on August 30 to perform at the International Kazan Autumn Open Air Opera Festivalin the city’s breathtaking Farmer’s Palace Square. The Siberian baritone will sing an array of opera arias with the Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Alexander Sladkovsky.

On July 12, Dmitri opens Macedonia’s 2013 Ohrid Summer Festival, singing arias with the Macedonian Opera and Ballet Choir and Orchestra under the baton of Constantine Orbelian.
