The End of Opera Legends?
The legendary opera singers gained that status with phenomenal live performances, recordings, TV appearances, videos, etc.
Usually, those singers were able to cross the invisible barrier to the non-opera-loving world.
Today, there seem to be fewer chances for opera artists to reach the popular world. Opera is completely separated from that world as the younger generation has less and less connection to the classical arts.
Are we now in an age where opera legends will not be created anymore?
