New York City Opera looking for money

More bad management as usual.

The myth that opera companies can (must?) depend
on donations (and government subsidies) rather than box office is no
longer viable.

The first thing to slash is the cost of bad management, but it seems
this is the behavior that corporate America rewards.

They (management) might try harder (in the ARTs) if they were only
paid a percentage of the
PROFIT, not the 'comparative industry standard'.
