Opera L



In the almost 500 years of its existence as a unique artform, opera has
produced but two opera composers who, without fear of engaging in hyperbole
or loose language, could be designated transcendent geniuses: Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart and Richard Wagner. So the question then becomes: What kind
of human being would (or could) champion one such unique paragon against the
other?
