Every Opera House and Orchestra should have an Outreach Program to Colleges, Libraries, and Public Schools. This should go on without saying.
The Lyirc Opera of Chicago has a very well developed Lecture Corps. The Lyric School is Education for young singers. Northwestern sees its community outreach responsibilities.
These things do not take millions of dollars, but rather a very well built communication system and a wonderful Corp of Volunteers.
